One local nonprofit, Mothers Helping Mothers, says it’s short on toys this year and is facing an increased demand for help.
The group is adding 50 additional families to its annual “Toy Day” event and hopes there will be enough toys to go around.
On days like this, Cassandra Smith remembers how much change can happen in a short amount of time.
