FARGO — It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, but come Saturday night, downtown Fargo and Moorhead will be a veritable winter wonderland.

The annual Xcel Energy Holiday Lights Parade rolls from downtown Moorhead through downtown Fargo spreading holiday cheer.

“The Holiday Lights Parade in downtown Fargo is a special event. It’s a place and event where people of all ages and from all places can come together and make those lasting memories,” said Rocky Schneider, executive director of the Downtown Community Partnership, which puts on the parade.

David Cook, president of North Dakota State University, and his wife Kate will be the grand marshals of the parade, which kicks off at 6:30 p.m. at Sixth Street and Center Avenue in Moorhead.

“This is their farewell tour,” Schneider said,
