The results of a recount of two Maumee City Council candidates running in the Nov. 4 election showed the total number of votes cast was unchanged, according to the Lucas County Board of Elections during its monthly meeting Tuesday.
Seven candidates were vying for four open positions for Maumee City Council in the Nov. 4 election.
Official election results showed Dave Poeppelmeier was the fourth vote getter while Andrew Huyghe was the fifth. The two were separated by just 12 votes, which triggered an automatic recount mandated by the state.
Mr. Poeppelmeier received 1,327 votes and Mr. Huyghe received 1,315 votes.
