VANCOUVER, Wash. — Detectives have arrested a Vancouver man for allegedly assaulting a woman jogging in a residential area along Southeast 99th Avenue.
Around 7:16 a.m. on Oct. 26, according to police, a man riding a bike approached a woman from behind as she was jogging on Southeast 99th near 12th Street, grabbed her genital area and pushed her to the ground.
During the struggle, the woman hit her head. Regardless, she was able to fight off the attacker, who then rode away. The woman suffered only a minor bump on her head, and no other serious injuries were reported.
Authorities at the time said the attack appeared to be random.
