AUSTIN, Texas — Austin police are continuing to investigate the death of a Texas A&M student who died early Saturday after apparently falling from a 17th floor balcony in West Campus.
The case has received widespread public attention in recent days after the mother of 19-year-old Brianna Aguilera told media outlets that she is not satisfied with the Austin police investigation into the case.
The assistant police chief supervising the investigation told KVUE Senior Reporter Tony Plohetski today that detectives continue to believe – based on all of the evidence they have at this point – that Aguilera did not die by homicide. Rather, they said information points to the possibility of suicide or an accidental fall.
