If it were up to Dixie Means, the Christmas season would last a lot longer.
“I think it ought to go from the end of October to the end of January,” she said.
The end of October is when Means began decorating her home at 604 Warren Avenue to get it ready for the 2025 Parade of Homes. Her house is one of five that will be showcased in the annual fundraiser for the Powder River Symphony this Sunday.
Means said she was supposed to be in the Parade of Homes in 2024, but she ran into health problems. So when they asked her this year if she would do it, she didn’t hesitate.
“It takes a lot of work,” she said. “You don’t just throw it together in a week. But I love it, it’s been a lot of fun.”
