HAMPTON, Va. — Hampton police are investigating a robbery and shooting that left the victim with non-life-threatening injuries.
It happened about 1:49 p.m. Saturday in the 400 block of Michigan Drive, according to a police press release. The victim reported he was approached by two males and two females who exchanged words with him and tried to take the victim’s phone. A brief physical altercation ensued, and the suspects fled on foot.
While they were fleeing, one of the suspects pulled out a firearm and shot the victim. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.
