ST PAUL, Minn. — Winter weather has officially moved in, as snow and cold temperatures have settled on Minnesota. It's a danger for many in the unhoused population in the Twin Cities.
Shelters and warming spaces are in need right now, and many are already struggling to accommodate everyone in need.
"Every bed is taken, so we are beyond capacity," Pam Stegora Axberg, CEO of Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities , said. "We've had somewhere between 17 to 22 men in our lobby just sleeping in our chairs as well."
Stegora Axberg says there's currently more than 115 beds and cots set up in their chapel on their St. Paul campus for bed space.
"Now, with the weather colder, we've added more beds and cots where we could and then added more and more chairs in the lobby," she said. "And can't do
