Jammu, Dec 3: The Jammu and Kashmir Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, met in Jammu on Wednesday morning and approved several departmental proposals, including promotions in the Roads and Buildings (R&B) Department and the establishment of an Animal Protection Board, officials said.

The meeting, held at 9 am at the Chief Minister’s residence, reviewed key administrative matters related to governance, including issues of electricity supply, reservation policies, and winter preparedness. Cabinet approval was granted for promotions and service-related cases of R&B officer cadres after detailed discussion, while financial support was sanctioned to strengthen cooperative societies in the livestock and fisheries sectors.
