MANOR, Texas — Manor marked a major step forward in local health care access on Wednesday with the opening of the city’s first emergency room. The new center gives residents in the fast-growing community immediate access to 24/7 emergency treatment for the first time.

The new St. David’s Emergency Center - located off Highway 290 just west of downtown Manor- ends years of residents traveling to Austin or Pflugerville for urgent care. City leaders and hospital officials say the facility fills a long-recognized gap in services for both Manor and nearby Elgin.
