One person died after being struck by a car in Burnaby Monday.
Burnaby RCMP say shortly after 7 p.m., officers responded a report of a collision involving a pedestrian on Kingsway at Edmonds Street.
The vehicle was travelling eastbound on Kingsway when the collision occurred. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and has co-operated with the investigation, according to an RCMP news release Wednesday.
Investigators are asking anyone who may have dashcam video or witnessed the collision to call RCMP.
Burnaby RCMP’s Criminal Collision Investigation Team has taken over the case.
“Part of our investigation includes what occurred in the moments before the collision,” said Cpl. Mike Kalanj, a spokesperson for the Burnaby RCMP.
