Two years after seizing three clubhouses from B.C. Hells Angels, the government is going after three others, in Surrey, Mission and Pitt Meadows.
The B.C. director of civil forfeiture has filed seizure lawsuits against the notorious biker gang in B.C. Supreme Court.
In a news release, the government said the move was part of its “effort to target and undercut organized crime.”
“Organized crime has no place in B.C., and our government has been working with focus and resolve to go after gangs and remove the profits of criminal activities,” Public Safety Minister Nina Krieger said. “As criminals attempt to hide their illegal activities and shield their members from law enforcement, we are finding ways to permanently take away their assets while protecting British Columbians.”
