Charges have been filed in the case of a traffic stop that occurred last month in Uintah County. According to the Probable Cause Statement, the vehicle was stopped for an observed traffic violation and during the stop a state certified K9 indicated the odor of illegal controlled substances. “A search was performed and a straw was located that contained suspected Methamphetamine. A broken pen was also located that contained suspected fentanyl.” 50-year-old Brandie A Mitchell is charged with 2 counts of 3rd Degree Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The charges reached felony status due to two prior drug convictions in 8th District Court.
