ATLANTA — A family is grieving the loss of their teenage son as Atlanta police are trying to track down a person of interest.

Eric Evans said his son went to West Ridge Shopping Center on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in Atlanta to buy Timberlands. Evans rushed there Saturday afternoon when he heard his son had been shot in the parking lot . Now he avoids being there.

"I try not to even drive past this, this, this whole thing, you know," Evans said. "I go the back streets. I try not to make it this way at all because every time, you know, I see him lying down."

Evans remembers his son for his playful spirit.

"He's a good kid. He's a fun kid and- he's deeply- he's really gonna be missed by everybody."

This is not the first time Evans has experienced this pain; his oldest son was shot
