TEXARKANA (KSLA) - Another arrest has been made in the 2014 murder of Xavier Rollins, a case that had gone cold.

Another arrest has been made in the 2014 murder of Xavier Rollins, who was shot to death outside an apartment in the 1000 block of College Drive on July 17.

The case had grown colder over the years, and detectives kept hitting dead ends.

"But even after a decade, we never stopped working to find justice for Xavier," says Texarkana Texas Police Department.

In 2023, a detective began looking into the case and discovered new DNA testing options that did not exist in 2014. A breakthrough led to the arrest of Cameron Cheatham on the charge of Capital Murder in 2024.

As the investigation continued, a second suspect, Demontre Collins, arose following updated DNA analysis.
