A man says he has nothing to hide after police "banged" on his door yesterday morning after spotting 'something suspicious' in the tree outside his home. Paul Thompson, from Birkenhead , told the ECHO how Merseyside Police officers knocked on his door yesterday (December 2) to speak to him about a plastic owl he has placed in a tree on the street outside his home.
He says he put the owl there to deter pigeons from nesting, after a spate of problems last summer. But he now fears people have got the wrong idea about the plastic bird after his visit from police.
