TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - Flandrau Science Center & Planetarium is celebrating its 50th anniversary by inviting the Tucson community to a free event on Dec. 13, 2025. The celebration will feature free planetarium shows, science exhibit admissions, and interactive historical explorations at 1601 East University Blvd. on the University of Arizona campus. Same-day tickets are free and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Guests can explore the newly renovated science center, including the latest Universe of Science exhibit. "Flandrau staff will be offering astrobiology demonstrations and activities," the press release stated.
The event will also showcase a temporary Flandrau History Exhibit and a preview of the upcoming Mysteries of the Cosmos exhibit, set to open in spring 2026. Per
