(WREX) - As the winter weather conditions continue, and many across the stateline prepare for the extremely cold conditions, Molly Hart AAA spokesperson, emphasizes prioritizing road safety.

Whether it's a commute to work or a quick run to the grocery store, Hart shares many roads may see icy conditions, suggesting drivers approaching an intersection or going over bridges to apply their breaks before as they approach the bridge or intersection. "If you start skidding, you want to steer and look in the direction you want to go" Hart shares.

During the winter, AAA sees a number of incidents from drivers. Most commonly, drivers face the issue of a dead car battery. Hart suggests drivers take their cars to an auto body shop for professional inspection. "You want to have them check your tire
