Penn State is running out of head coaching candidates.
Louisville head coach Jeff Brohm turned down overtures from Penn State to remain with the Cardinals, according to a Wednesday report from Sports Illustrated’s Pat Forde .
ESPN’s Pete Thamel was first to report that Brohm is staying at Louisville, his alma mater.
The Brohm news hit hours after Ohio State’s Brian Hartline accepted the South Florida job and less than 24 hours after Kalani Sitake decided to stay at BYU.
Brohm, like Hartline, wasn’t a top target for athletic director Pat Kraft and Penn State early in their search for a James Franklin replacement.
