AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Two Palo Duro High School football players signed to continue their careers together at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Darien Lewis and Vern Blair both committed to UNLV, where they will join the Mountain West conference next season.

Lewis originally committed to the University of North Carolina in July but recently changed his commitment to join Blair in Las Vegas.

“Going to UNLV was definitely a personal decision, and it was a decision of betting on me and wanting to go start early. I felt one program was devaluing me, and the other program just kept up-valuing and kept talking, they got me to go.”
