New Delhi, Dec 4: Public broadcaster Prasar Bharati has witnessed a major development with Chairman Navneet Kumar Sehgal stepping down from his position. The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting has accepted his resignation, relieving him from service, officials confirmed on Wednesday.
Sehgal, a retired IAS officer of the 1988 batch from the Uttar Pradesh cadre, had submitted his resignation on Tuesday. He was appointed as the Chairman of Prasar Bharati in March 2024 and served the organisation for several months.
With over 35 years of administrative experience, Sehgal has held prominent roles in both State and Central governments, playing a key part in governance reforms and major developmental initiatives, particularly in Uttar Pradesh.
