Only four women have been handed whole life sentences in the annals of UK history. The first was Myra Hindley, the notorious Moor murderer who took the lives of five children between 1963 and 1966. ‌

Then came Rosemary West with her infamous house of horrors, where she and her husband murdered 10 children in Gloucester. ‌

More recently, we saw Lucy Letby, the Chester baby killer who was controversially found guilty of seven medical murders. But a less familiar name on that list is Joanna Christine Dennehy, the Cambridgeshire "ditch killer" who slaughtered three men over a 10-day rampage in March 2013 because she aspired to emulate Bonnie and Clyde. ‌

As she chillingly explained to an accomplice in 11 haunting words: "I want my fun. I need you to get my fun."
