The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has completed the first month of its pothole-free initiative, during which teams repaired 2,989 potholes and restored close to 18 hectares of road surface across the city.
According to PMC road department chief Aniruddha Pawaskar, the campaign recorded one of the fastest paces of repair work in recent years. Dedicated teams of engineers and contractors not only filled individual potholes but also resurfaced stretches where damage was widespread and recurring.
In total, the civic body restored around 1,88,948 square metres of road. Officials also maintained photographic documentation and on-ground measurements of every repair carried out.
Out of 3,904 pothole-related complaints submitted through the Road Mitra app, only 34 remain to be addressed. Pawa
