A “very nervous” driver was caught with 1kg of cannabis and more than £10,000 in cash outside a Motherwell tower block. ‌

Michael Darling, 35, admitted being concerned in the supply of the Class B drug on July 18 this year. ‌

Hamilton Sheriff Court heard police officers were outside Shields Tower shortly after 7pm. ‌

They had cause to stop an Audi RS3. Darling was the driver and he appeared “very nervous”.

There was a smell of cannabis from the car. ‌
