Downtown’s annual New Year’s Eve celebration is returning for its 32nd year — with some tweaks.
The most notable change to this year’s First Night festivities is the lack of a parade.
The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, which organizes the event, in a Wednesday press release, cited the ongoing construction Downtown for the change. But the free celebration, which typically draws tens of thousands to the city center, as usual highlights plenty of local talent from across the arts spectrum.
“We refreshed this year’s schedule to make sure we’re truly offering something for everyone,” said Brooke Horejsi, the Cultural Trust’s chief programming and engagement officer, in the release.
