PHOENIX — Two minors were arrested after allegedly showing off a gun at a Buckeye park, authorities announced Thursday.
Officers with the Buckeye Police Department responded to the area of Sundance Parkway and 219th Lane shortly before 6 p.m. on Wednesday after receiving reports of a group of boys handling a gun.
Police found the two boys described by the witness. One was only 10 years old and had a handgun inside a backpack, which matched the unique description provided, according to police.
The 10-year-old boy was released to a guardian, and Buckeye police submitted weapons misconduct charges.
