COLUMBIA, S.C. — In the wake of a four-win season, South Carolina head football coach Shane Beamer continues to make changes on his coaching staff.

Running backs coach Marquel Blackwell will not be retained as he had spent the last two seasons at Carolina.

Blackwell came to Carolina following a one-year stint in College Station at Texas A&M. He spent the 2022 season at Ole Miss after three seasons at Houston.

He is the third offensive assistant coach to be dismissed after offensive line coach Lonnie Teasley and offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Mike Shula were let go during the season.
