WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — Five area high schools are still alive as the state football semifinals approach, and among them are the red-hot Lafayette Rams. Lafayette earned its spot the hard way, taking down four-time defending state champion Phoebus in the Class 4 Region A final to improve to 12–1.

The Rams will hit the road Saturday at 1 p.m. to face Loudoun County, marking their sixth trip to the state semifinals in 13 seasons under head coach Andy Linn.

Linn credits the program’s experience and leadership for the deep postseason run.
