Program offers free access for low-income families and spans photography, film, animation and illustration
Venice Arts will begin accepting applications Monday for its Spring 2026 media arts workshops, offering youth ages 10 to 18 a chance to study photography, filmmaking, animation and narrative illustration.
The nonprofit, based in Venice, runs the workshops from Dec. 1 through Jan. 31 and says the classes are designed to help young people build creative skills while working with professional equipment and software.
The program also includes college and career guidance for teens, along with occasional field trips and in-class projects meant to encourage students to document and interpret their own lives.
