Two clipper systems will bring snow to the southern half of Minnesota on Friday and Saturday, with several inches of accumulation possible by the end of the weekend.
A clipper is already making its way east on Friday morning, with the National Weather Service saying it will bring light snow that could ultimately add up to 1-2 inches of snow along the I-94 corridor.
Snow was expected to arrive in the Twin Cities by around 9 a.m., ending by early Friday afternoon. Officials have warned to be aware of impacts on the roads, which are gradually becoming covered with snow as the system moves southeast.
Problems have already been reported in the west of the state.
It will be followed by a second clipper system that could bring "plowable" snow to southern Minnesota on Saturday, with the system
