Police say a man smashed the windshield of another vehicle with a baseball bat as a family with a small child and an infant sat inside in a violent road rage attack on Thursday in the vicinity of The Mall at Rockingham Park in Salem, New Hampshire.

Salem police said they received multiple 911 calls shortly before 6:30 p.m. on Thursday from the area of Rockingham Park Boulevard near the mall. Multiple witnesses said they saw a man smashing the windshield of another vehicle on the road with a baseball bat.

The suspect then got into a vehicle and drove in the direction of Interstate 93. Witnesses were able to provide police with a license plate number and a description of the suspect and his vehicle.
