Work stoppage: Gov. Mike DeWine vetoed Senate Bill 50, which would have allowed 14- and 15-year-olds to work until 9 p.m. during the school year, which is currently prohibited. The teens are paid less than the state minimum wage that older workers receive. DeWine said that young people need to focus on school, Laura Hancock reports . No word yet about whether the legislature will vote to override DeWine’s veto, although there are likely votes for it.
