The Mesa Council voted to approve a contract for legal processing services for the Mesa Police Department at its recent meeting.

The council voted 5-0 on Dec. 1 to approve a contract to Mesa business Hot Shot Legal Services LLC at $150,000 annually. Council members Jenn Duff and Francisco Heredia were absent.

The contract will establish services to allow the city to serve legal documents and transport them in a timely manner.
