A warning has been issued for state pensioners over four common scams targeting older people. As many as one in four - 24 per cent - of adults come across multiple scams each week.

And retirees are most at risk ahead of Christmas . The research was published by the Global Anti-Scam Alliance (GASA), in collaboration with fraud prevention service Cifas and financial software provider Tietoevry Banking.
