CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Charlotte is home to many, many museums and while all of them are definitely worth checking out, here are some that have exhibits or opportunities geared more toward kids:
Charlotte Museum of History
The museum has four galleries with a mix of permanent and temporary exhibits, and plenty of land for kids to explore – including the 1774 Alexander Homesite.
Known as the Alexander Rock House, the building is the oldest home in the county. The homesite is a former plantation that had tobacco, cotton, corn, peaches, and livestock. The homesite contained 12 Alexander family members, at least 17 enslaved persons, and various boarders throughout the years.
