JACKSON, MI – A man accused of stabbing another man during a roadside fight has pleaded guilty.

Marcus Leon Burrell pleaded guilty Dec. 1 to one felony count of assault with a dangerous weapon, dismissing his original charge of assault with intent to do great bodily harm, a 10-year felony, court records show.

Sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 19 before Jackson County Circuit Judge Thomas Wilson. Assault with a dangerous weapon is punishable by up to four years in prison.

Burrell, 57, admitted to stabbing another man during a fight in an apparent act of road rage.
