An Alexandria man was indicted in federal court last month for allegedly calling in a bomb threat to the Louis Armstrong International Airport hours after he was unable to exit the parking lot because of unpaid fees, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Louisiana.
Corey Johnson, 35, was indicted Nov. 20 in connection with a Nov. 7 bomb threat. He was charged with willfully making a bomb threat, according to court records, and pleaded not guilty in court on Wednesday.
According to a sworn affidavit from an FBI agent, Johnson attempted to exit short-term parking at MSY just before 7:50 p.m. on Nov. 7, but was unable to leave. He reportedly refused to get out of the exit lane despite the insistence of parking staff.
