Verde at Cooley Station the end of its construction phase Friday as Gilbert leaders, business partners and community members gathered for a grand-opening celebration that officially ushered in the mixed-use development’s next chapter.

“We are at the end of the beginning of the first phase, and we’re at the beginning of a new phase,” developer Norm Brody said.

That new phase centers on activating the development’s central green, expanding events and community programming, and continuing to build a tenant mix anchored by local entrepreneurs.

Brody said the project will continue to grow its offerings in the coming years, with more events planned and another restaurant, The Commoner, scheduled to open in 2026.
