In the wake of bedbugs being found at Bradley Central High School, administrators closed the classroom, as well as another one, out of precaution. School is now operating again.

Service Manager at Arrow Exterminators, Robert Baehr in Chattanooga, Tennessee, says it only takes one pair of bedbugs to start an infestation. But if they are caught early enough, this can be prevented.

Baehr says it can take between a few months and up to a year for bedbugs to create a severe infestation. They are found in the cracks and crevices of fabric. Before finding a blood meal, bedbugs are only the size of the head of a sewing needle. They can be differentiated between other pests because of the horizontal lines down their back.
