NEW YORK CITY, New York - Fans were excited when “Mad Men” came to HBO Max in 4K this week. They expected a super-clear look at the famous show. Instead, viewers saw things that weren’t supposed to see , including crew members in the background operating a machine that made a character throw up.
The mistake appeared in season one’s “Red in the Face” episode. In a scene, Roger Sterling, played by John Slattery, gets very sick after eating oysters and drinking too much. In the 4K version, crew members were clearly visible behind him.
Beyond the crew visibility issue, some episodes were out of order or labeled incorrectly on the streaming service.
