GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Bipartisan legislation giving small business owners a bigger voice in the nation’s capital was passed this week on the House floor of Congress.

The “Dump Red Tape” Act will create a dedicated hotline for small business owners to report overly burdensome or unnecessary federal regulations to the Small Business Administration Office of Advocacy.

Those complaints are then documented and reviewed by Congress.

Representative Tony Wied says it’s something he personally worked on.

“This is something that the President, the administration, did through executive order already, so this is codifying that order. So, once it is approved by the Senate and hopefully that’s soon, it will go to the President and be signed into law,” says Rep. Wied.
