LITTLE CHUTE, Wis. (WBAY) - Hundreds of volunteers are coming together to make sure no child in our area goes hungry.
Those volunteers are hand-packing more than 147,000 meals during the “Feed My Starving Children” 2-day mobile-pack event.
The “MannaPack” meals are specifically designed to assist in preventing and reversing the effects of malnutrition.
Those we spoke with say this year’s event is a long time coming.
“We’ve got one session tonight, and we’ve got three sessions tomorrow. St john’s will be hitting their 1 millionth meal either tonight or tomorrow. Millionth meal packed,” says Laura Ribando, an assistant manufacturing manager with Feed My Starving Children.
The event continues at 1 p.m. at the Saint John Nepomucene Parish on Grand Avenue in Little Chute on Saturday. As of
