PEQUAYAN TOWNSHIP, Minn. (Northern News Now) - Family members of the people who lost their home to a house fire Thursday night just north of Duluth are looking for help picking up the pieces.

Thursday night around 7 p.m., half a dozen fire departments responded to a basement fire in Pequayan Township.

The homeowner was treated for smoke inhalation on scene.

He is now staying with his family since his home suffered significant damage.

Family and friends have set up a GoFundMe to help the Garner family rebuild what’s left of their home.
