Fresh off helping Glassboro win its second-straight NJSIAA/Xfinity Group 1 state championship, Xavier Sabb received a significant individual honor Friday.
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound junior standout was named the 2025-26 Gatorade New Jersey Football Player of the Year.
As part of Gatorade’s commitment to breaking down barriers in sports, every Player of the Year also receives a grant to donate to a social impact partner.
Widely considered the top college recruit in New Jersey for the Class of 2027, Sabb finished the year with a team-high 59 catches for 896 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also rushed for two TDs, passed for another and added scores on kickoff and punt returns.
Defensively, Sabb had 15 tackles and four interceptions as a defensive back.
