SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - Low visibility with fog starts our day on the Suncoast. Fog should burn off by 9 to 10 AM, but it is likely to return for early Sunday morning.
Humidity is high for the weekend. Dew points will hold near 70° this weekend, which will bring a chance for morning fog. Humidity levels drop Monday.
We could use the rain, but a few thunderstorms late Sunday could bring some disruptive weather late Sunday. Late Sunday into early Monday is a First Alert Weather Day for us.
So far, December has been very warm. Temperatures have been 5° above average. That’s about to change with a cooler week ahead. December has also been dry. We’re close to 1.50” below normal rainfall with Severe Drought conditions on the Suncoast.
