It's often described as a goldfish bowl. But Scottish football is nothing like a goldfish bowl.
Yeah, those things might be a bit cramped, but wee Nemo and his pals usually spend their days peacefully swimming around minding their own business. Our game is more like a beehive – that’s been chucked in a tumble dryer. Sometimes there’s so much buzzing around you need to take a step back just to get a wide lens view of the madness.
It happened the other night at Celtic Park. The home side were one up on Dundee heading into the final 15 minutes, comfortably dominating the game and preparing to give Martin O’Neill a nice send off. But the visitors – the cheek of them – had the audacity to cross the halfway line a couple of times.
