HOUSTON — Houston police are investigating a deadly shooting after a man was found shot multiple times inside his family’s taco truck late Thursday night in north Houston.

The shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. on West Dyna Drive as the victim was closing up for the night, according to investigators.

Police say the 40-year-old man’s family discovered him after becoming worried when they hadn’t heard from him. He had told them he was wrapping up work, but when he didn’t return home, they went to check on him and found him inside the truck.

HPD says the motive is still unclear, but detectives do not believe the shooting was a robbery.

Lt. A. Khan with the Houston Police Department said investigators are looking for two people seen leaving the scene.
