THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Rahul Easwar, who was arrested for cyber-harassing the victim who had filed a sexual harassment complaint against MLA Rahul Mamkootathil, has withdrawn his hunger strike in jail. Rahul Easwar informed the jail officials that he will eat food. The Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Court had denied Rahul Easwar's bail. Rahul announced that he would end his hunger strike following this.

Rahul Easwar has been in jail for the past seven days. The police have registered a case against Rahul Easwar under the sections of insulting femininity and intimidation. He has also been charged with misuse of electronic systems. It is an offence punishable by imprisonment for up to two years.
