Russian President Vladimir Putin assured India of 'uninterrupted' access to fuel to meet India's energy demand as leaders of the two countries made sweeping announcements to boost economic cooperation including building new transport routes.

President Putin, who is in India on a two-day state visit, said Russia hopes to do trade worth $100 billion with India by 2030.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced they have adopted a 2030 Economic Programme to work towards sustainable and balanced growth in trade.

This includes working towards a free trade agreement (FTA) between India as well as paving way for Indian professionals to work in Russia.
