AUSTIN (KXAN) — If you clicked on a Wikipedia article this year, you contributed to the estimated 2.4 billion hours spent reading English-language articles in 2025, and we now know which articles were the most popular.

For the 11th year, the Wikimedia Foundation, the nonprofit that operates the "free encyclopedia," has released its list of most popular articles on the site.

The page about Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated in September, was the most-read article this year, with almost 45 million page views. Almost 15 million of those came in the days after the shooting, when about 170 people were viewing the page every second. About 43% of the article's views came from outside the United States, the Wikimedia Foundation said.
